Claritech Solutions Corp. is a full-service information technology management company. Claritech was started in 2000 in Calgary by Dan Frederick. Dan has almost 30 years working in the technology industry from programming and systems management to IT consulting. He has his MBA from the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary and is a Professional Engineer. With his depth of experience you can be assured that, whatever your IT challenges, Dan can get the job done.
The core of our offering is our Claritech Trust Bundle. By concentrating on the needs of the individuals in your organization, you can rest assured that they will be supported, no matter what their information technology needs. Our CTB-Complete offering includes unlimited remote and phone support for each individual, regardless of the devices they use. With the understanding that individuals don’t always leave their work at the office, we even include a home device for each supported individual.

- Antivirus and Security – In addition to our hosted and local software solutions, we also provide Panda Endpoint Protection Plus as well as Active Defense 360 and assist our clients with password management and Internet security through training and technology.
- Backup and Disaster Recovery – Claritech is an authorized partner for Datto, StorageCraft and Solarwinds, three leading disaster recovery solutions. Additionally, we utilize an enterprise disaster recovery portal, AgilityRecovery, to house our clients’ disaster recovery plans security offsite.
- Planning and Project Services – We can help with your annual information technology planning and budget as well as implement projects as small as Windows migrations to as large as enterprise application rollouts.
Our Team
Dan has been working in IT for over thirty years. He has his Bachelor of Science in Engineering and Master's of Business Administration from the University of Calgary. Dan married Leanne in 1989 and has three children and two dogs. In his free time he likes to ski, travel and walk the dogs.
Katie Clarke has been with Claritech since May 2014. She has a SAIT Polytechnic diploma in Information Technology, majoring in Computer Systems. Katie’s background ranges from System Administration to Help Desk, and she has experience in dealing with everything from ransomware attacks to the more mundane and tedious tasks of protecting Claritech’s clients IT infrastructure. When Katie is not spending her time glued to her computer, she enjoys going to her family ranch and riding her old barrel racing horse.
Kathryn boasts an impressive 30-year track record in administrative support making her a valuable addition to the Claritech team. Her diverse experience spans roles as a legal assistant, providing top-notch administrative assistance to C-suite executives and serving as an integral member of start-up organizations' founding teams.
Beyond her professional achievements, Kathryn enjoys a fulfilling personal life. She's been happily married to Garth for over 30 years and together they have raised two sons and share their home with a lovable, oversized canine named Ruff. Outside of her work commitments, Kathryn's passions include staying active at the gym, immersing herself in books and word puzzles, engaging in board and card games, exploring new destinations through travel and taking leisurely walks with Ruff. An avid Formula 1 enthusiast, she's also a proud advocate within Calgary's autism community.

I have been in High River for the past 7 ½ years, working as a Senior Analyst for JEI Tech. I have been providing superior tech support for over 20 years. My time a JEI Tech has seen many changes with technology, the biggest being cybercrime and methods to pre-emptively combat it. From disaster recovery to antivirus software and firewalls to phone systems, I have vast experience that will exceed your expectations.
Over the past 20 years I have supported many different environments on several projects. While with RIM, I started out as a Tier 1 Associate and within a year advanced to a Tier 3 Analyst. My experience with the Province of Nova Scotia and the City of Halifax allowed me to transition to a Team Lead, in charge of a dozen staff, to roll out over 2000 computers throughout the province. I have a demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to new product while remaining flexible to change.
I have certification for MSCE, MCTS, CompTIA A+ and Network+. I have studied Microsoft Office and have extensive experience with many other software suites including WordPerfect, Corel, and Adobe. I am a creative leader and take pride in making things happen. I consider myself intelligent and motivated, fueled by the education and certifications I have. I have superior troubleshooting skills relating to operating systems, hardware and software that will certainly be an asset.
